Meet Jay Fracek, founder of Fracek Advisory. More than two decades building products and helping teams turn difficult decisions into working software.
I’m a product leader and operator based in Pittsburgh, working with organizations across the United States. My career spans consumer technology, enterprise software, logistics, and AI, with product leadership roles at Apple, PLS Logistics Services, GS1, CrowdBotics, and LawnStarter.
I’ve led product organizations, owned a product’s P&L, aligned teams around platform decisions, and worked from customer research through deployment. That combination matters when an organization needs both a clear direction and someone who can help deliver it.
Fracek Advisory is an independent practice. I work alongside your leaders and team to identify the constraint, make ownership clear, and move the work forward.

My work on Safari spanned product decisions, user research, and the transition to Mobile Safari ahead of the original iPhone. I later led App Store platform work, including app review and subscriptions.

Led a cross-functional team developing a cloud transportation management platform for brokerage operations and external customers. Established the data-science function and connected machine-learning pricing to automated booking.

Led product work to standardize product-data experiences and shared APIs across member organizations, aligning a global federation around a more consistent platform.

Built and led the product organization. Helped shift a manual application-building platform toward an automated delivery pipeline, with quality checks and human review before release.

Owned product direction and P&L for field-service software covering scheduling, dispatch, quoting, invoicing, and customer management. Worked from customer research through design and deployment with architecture and design partners.
